The Alumni Association promotes lifelong links between the University and its alumni community. Membership is automatic to all who have studied at the University.
Members can find information here on alumni events and services. This website will also keep you informed about the University and provides details on how you can stay connected with other former students.
Please help us to provide you with a vibrant and successful Alumni Association that can remain responsive to your needs. Remember to keep in touch!
We are always on the lookout for new ideas on how we can raise money to support the annual fund at Stirling. One way you can help is to raise money through organising an event. Some of the following ideas give people something for their money. Maybe you can think of more ideas, more original and innovative ones!
Have a dress down day at work
Raffle your services for a day to iron, clean, cook or even take the dog for a walk!
Have a sponsored swim, walk, silence etc
A car boot sale
Take a look here for more ideas as well as some seasonal ones...
We have a website dedicated to the transformation of the University library. Almost 75% of the total cost has been raised through charitable trusts, the University funding and from our very generous alumni. Visit the website to see how the transformation is taking place and how you can make a donation.
There are many ways you can keep in touch with the University to let us know how you are and what you're up to. You can go to our update page or you can find the Alumni Relations & Development Manager on Facebook and LinkedIn. Both sites are great ways of keeping in touch!
The University is offering a 10% discount for postgraduate study for alumni returning to Stirling. The Stirling Graduate Discount Scheme is available to all alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree (BA, BSc, BAcc) or a postgraduate degree (MSc, MPhil, or MLitt) from the University of Stirling who then register for either a full-time or part-time degree programme at a higher level at the University of Stirling. The Graduate Discount Scheme applies to both home and international students and only applies to the element of the tuition fee which the student is personally paying. There are some restrictions to this scheme and here you will find criteria and an application form. If you have any questions regarding this, email recruitment@stir.ac.uk or visit the Student Recruitment and Admissions Service website.
The University hosts a number of professorial inaugural lectures at our Stirling and Inverness campuses which are open to all alumni, friends and members of the public. More details of these can be found on our events page.
Dr James Naughtie, one of Britain’s best-known broadcasters, became Chancellor of the University of Stirling in November 2008. He has a ten year term of office, during which he will preside over graduation ceremonies and other key University events. In these three short videos he describes some of the outstanding features of Stirling, and his feelings about the University.
We have an extensive range of University branded gifts ranging from pin badges to golf umbrellas.
